Set out below are the terms and conditions under which you embark on any of our tours. Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they set out in detail our rights and obligations. Once you embark upon your tour (provided by Travel Explorer Ltd.), by default, you (the passenger / customer) are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
Once Travel Explorer Ltd. confirms your booking, a contract is made between Travel Explorer Ltd. and you (the passenger / customer) upon the terms and conditions set out below. Travel Explorer Ltd., hereinafter referred to as ‘we’, will only confirm your booking once we have received full payment for your tour.
Once full payment is made you will be allocated a place/places on the particular tour and a confirmation emailed to you. This is your confirmation of booking. This should be printed and saved for your own reference.
Once you begin your tour, you accept and abide by these terms and conditions.
We accept no responsibility for incorrect email or inability to deliver email. If your confirmation does not arrive on time or at all, then you must ask us to resend the email confirmation of the tours you have paid for.
All internet bookings will be confirmed by email.
We reserve the right to sell any places reserved by you in the event of non payment or only part payment on your part or without full payment of a deposit.
It is the responsibility of you (the passenger) to check the accuracy of dates booked upon receipt of their travel documents.
There is no travel insurance cover included in the price of the ticket.
We take no responsibility for any injuries or loss to you incurred whilst you are taking part in any optional activities that are outside our all-inclusive package. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before you travel. You may not be accepted as a Travel Explorer Ltd. passenger unless you have arranged satisfactory insurance. We accept no responsibility for the theft, loss or damage to personal belongings at any time during the period of your tour, provided by Travel Explorer Ltd.
For extended tours, cancellation of your booking must be in writing or by email to Travel Explorer Ltd. When written notification has been received a fee of €10 will be levied to cover administration costs.
If you choose to cancel 48 hours before the start of your tour, a refund will be granted, minus an administration charge of €10. If the cancellation is notified to us any later than 48 hours before the commencement of the tour, then no refund will be granted. Alternatively, you can choose to change your tour departure to another date (subject to availability), without a financial penalty.
If the reason for your cancellation is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.
If you are late for the bus in the morning or you are a “no-show”, you will be fully charged for the tour that you have booked as we have reserved a seat or seats for you.
4. Changes by us
We reserve the right to change our advertised itineraries at any time and at our discretion. Naturally, we will endeavour to avoid such changes and if this is necessary, we will substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value.
We reserve the right to alter our itinerary in the event of circumstances outside the control of Travel Explorer Ltd. Such circumstances would include outbreaks of ‘foot and mouth’ disease or other contagious diseases, revolution, national or local strikes, public protests, social disorder, political unrest, demonstrations of public unrest or the risk of rioting.
At Travel Explorer Ltd. we are constantly developing our product offering, in a policy of continuous review with a view to improvement. New attractions may become available to us as a tour provider and we therefore reserve the right to include these attractions in your best interests.
We reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of our tours at any time.
We reserve the right to launch amendments to our product offering and amend our website accordingly at any time.
You must obey the laws of the Republic of Ireland (ROI), United Kingdom of Great Britain (UK) and Northern Ireland (NI) and the European Union (EU), whilst travelling on our tours. We would ask you to be aware of the many customs, cultures and religious denominations which exist on the Island of Ireland. We would respectfully request of you to be deferential at all times to the many diverse customs that exist in Ireland. Please strive at all times not to cause offence. Also we ask you to be mindful of and operate within the foreign exchange restrictions which pertain on the Island of Ireland. If you do not comply with the foregoing requests, you may be asked to surrender your ticket, which may be cancelled without any refund. The decision in this matter will rest with our representative(s) who may decide to cancel your ticket or not and their decision will be final.
Your appointed Travel Explorer Tour Guide may need to make a decision in the interests of safety. It is a condition of bookings that you comply with the authority and decisions of the appointed representative of Travel Explorer Ltd. If you do not comply with the said representative and are not compatible with the general enjoyment and welbeing of members of the tour, we reserve the right to refuse to allow you to continue the tour. In such a case we will not be liable for any refund, compensation or any additional costs incurred by you. We cannot accept liability for the behaviour of others on your tour nor if any facilities are curtailed as a result of their actions.
It is your responsibility to meet your tour at arranged points, on or before the specified time. Due to the nature of the service we offer, Travel Explorer Ltd. will not and cannot be held liable if any service leaves or arrives later than its specified time. If as a result of such lateness you miss a connecting service, Travel Explorer Ltd. will not and cannot be held liable for the inconvenience or cost incurred by you in such an event. Travel Explorer Ltd. will however, endeavour to ensure that departure and arrival times are adhered to in as far as is practicable. We also ask you (the passenger/customer) to adhere to all times and departure deadlines communicated to you by our guide/tour manager during the course of the tour. A policy of punctuality is always fostered by Travel Explorer Ltd. because such policy works to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the tour, which is to the benefit of both ourselves and of the travelling customer/passenger.
